I still call Phoebe my "baby girl" and can't resist petting Apollo every time I walk by him snoozing on the couch, and I'm so sad right now because he's having bad arthritis pain. I took him to the vet for it last week on the same day I took Evie in for her cold.

And about #6, I feel the same way a lot. I think it's because we expect church to be such a welcoming environment where everyone will sense our frustrations and pain and come comfort us but then we realize everyone else is just as self-centered and human as we are and they are oblivious to what's going on with us ("us" being infertile/adopting couples)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852456697006944257.post-27533361228115885812009-02-15T20:56:00.000-05:002009-02-15T20:56:00.000-05:00Just wait until the baby comes. But, look at me now! It is sooooo incredibly hard.........beyond words. Just keep holding on!
I think we all wish #9, is we are female and breathing! I thought I was the only one; I've never met anyone else like this. I can get on one going up pretty ok, but when I have to step on one going down I get panicky and grab onto my husband and almost freeze in fear.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852456697006944257.post-84350336583921363582009-02-15T13:25:00.000-05:002009-02-15T13:25:00.000-05:00You are beautiful ~ thanks for your honesty. Our previous churches we took active roles in, the one we go to now is a 25-30 min drive so we don't take part in much of the activities besides going to Sunday service. I miss it so much.

And our home. UGH! I can't keep it tidy with just the two of us, how will I do it with a child?

I have no worries about you and #3, God will give you your hearts desire, I am sure of it.LLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10456346448934464767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852456697006944257.post-13625629803631018862009-02-15T08:33:00.000-05:002009-02-15T08:33:00.000-05:00Hi Melba,My wife and I just read your whole blog b...Hi Melba,
My wife and I just read your whole blog before heading off to church.
We adopted 3 Children from Catholic Social Services of Wayne County and two more from two other agencies. We are now with Forever Families in Novi.
The fifth adoption will be final in April. So that you don't think that we are taking all the available children, ours are bio-siblings adopted from the foster care system.
We will continue to read your blog and pray that you may soon be blessed.
Mark and SusanMarkAndSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03761559195152321290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852456697006944257.post-77754003596691347032009-02-14T18:44:00.000-05:002009-02-14T18:44:00.000-05:00Hi Melba. Hope to hear more from you, and I hope your spirits pick up.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12180487344392949529noreply@blogger.com
