Just saw you got your baby! Congratulations!! I have been following your blog on and off and saw this on another blog. This is wonderful news. He is adorable!
it's been 3 months and as much as I take a big breath when I've just sat down to do something and hear milo cry.....there's nothing like walking into his room and scooping him up and soaking in all his baby smell and loves.....nothing like it in the world. :)you're not crazy....we've waited a LONG time to hear our babies cry. :)
I'm just checking in for the first time in awhile. Oh my God! This is so wonderful, and you are so deserving! Congratulations Mamma Melba. I'm so happy for you.
Ok, you know I'm not sappy and I don't like crying. But, I have been crying like a baby reading your blogs and looking at your photos. I am so unbelievably happy for you. You getting Charlie has also made me look at my girls a little differently. Being a parent and loving a child is such a blessing, and now you get to share in that blessing too. I love you!
Becca loves looking at the photos too. She wants to know when you all are going to visit. She says she wants to meet her ( I keep telling her that Charlie is a him, but all she knows is girls so she's a bit confused.) Rachel is so excited to share a birthday with Charlie. They are both a little blown away with how quickly Charlie appeared in your life, but aren't we all. Wow how life can change and I agree with Nancy, because of this the world has become a little sweeter!
I always knew you would be an amazing Mom, and you are. We are so incredibly, amazingly blessed to have Charlie as the newest member of our family... and he is so incredibly, amazingly blessed to have you as his mother. How truly SWEET it is!
HOLY FREAKING COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been away from the blogs for an entire week (preparing for baby boy). I decided to play catch-up tonight and I read THIS!!!! I am BURSTING for you Melba. I really, truly am. You, Me, and Bri all have babies!!! Can you believe it? Are you living in a haze? I love it! And when you least expected it...in your lowest moments....I can't wait to hear more and watch you enjoy momhood.
I'm a 30-something woman who has been happily married to the love of my life for 15 years. We were blessed beyond measure by the miracle of adoption when we brought our son home on May 1, 2009. My goal in creating this blog is twofold. First I want to have a place where I can tell our son's adoption story, so that I can share this most important aspect of our lives with family and friends. Second I want to have a place where I can share and connect with others who are also touched by adoption. We have recently started the process for adoption #2 and we are excited to see what the future brings!

It will wear off eventually but enjoy those late night snuggles and early morning wake up calls.
So happy for you that you're getting that kind of wake up call!
Sorry I'm a little slow on the uptake, but CONGRATULATIONS!! WOOHOO! He is just perfect and adorable, and your joy is shining through every post.
