A Member of the Club

It's finally happened...people are giving me unsolicited advice, lecturing me, and best of all...giving me their BABY STUFF!! I am a MOM, and I actually feel like a MOM...this is the time of my life, and I am thrilled, despite being completely overwhelmed and exhausted!

I have an amazing new friend, Karen. I actually only met her this semester at school, but I feel as though I've known her MUCH longer than that. Tonight I went to class to take my last exam of the semester. Karen brought me her (luxurious) baby swing, a bag of baby clothes, and a thermometer. *Wow!*

My baby went to his very first doctor's appointment this afternoon, and after the exam, the doc said, "He looks perfect." Music to my ears! We have a busy week this week - our first post placement visit with the agency will be Thursday, and then another doctor's appointment on Friday. Oh, and I think my sister and I are going to go to Target so I can properly register on Wednesday. Whew...but I am loving all of it, and Charlie is (so far, let's hope it continues!) one laid back little man. He does get mad when he's naked, or when he's ready to eat, but other than that he is chill. I am so in love...more pictures will be coming soon!

Much love to all of you...my amazingly fabulous blogging buddies!

It is wonderful to read these happy posts from you. I know you are in heaven and trust me, it just keeps getting better.

I know what you mean about the club. We got so many hand-me-downs and it helped so much. The other day I was talking mom/baby stuff with a woman from my soccer team. On the way home, I said to my husband it is so nice to be able to participate in those conversations instead of inching away from them!

Congrats again and enjoy!!

It seems like I left you blog last week and a million things have happend!...NO wait...IT has happend. Congratulations on your new baby boy!!!
Yes many people will tell you how, what why...etc. Best advice I can give (unwanted but that's ok!) is a short book called "On Becoming Baby Wise" by Ezzo.
I have 2 kids and it changed my life! I've been a nanny for 9 kids. ALL 11 Kids slept through the night at 6-8 weeks and each took 2- 2 hour naps a day!
HAVE FUN AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

I'm just now getting a chance to catch up with your blog after you received "the call". I can't begin to tell you how excited and happy I am for you! Words can't express what a joy it is to have a baby in your arms. Congratulations, and enjoy every last coo and cry and grunt.

Just wait until you're the one passing on the baby items to a friend. And giving your own advice to new mothers. Motherhood is great!
Hope the post placement went well.
